Aveo Dragon Addon

AD

Too many dragons are not enough! We know that, you know that. Here's how we're helping: the Aveo Dragon. These long-necked, long-tailed dragons of legend are here at last. And there are three different types of these beasts; drakes, wyverns and dragons. But you'll have to defeat the dreaded Snow Walker to get one (or two).

Snow Walkers are the answer

But what's the question? The question, of course, is how do you get one of these dragon spawn eggs? You can find the dreaded Snow Walkers in any frozen biome (snow, ice, etc) at night time. Each of these monsters has around a one in ten chance of dropping an Aveo egg (could be any of the three types). Based on an excellent idea from OrangeBlue13.

These monsters come in three varieties, the biggest are the rarest, toughest and most dangerous and look like this:

Less dangerous, more common, but still just as likely to drop a spawn egg (hint, hint) are these guys.

They have a variety of attacks including knockback, slowness, teleportation, melee and can break certain blocks as well. They are immune to damage from projectile, magma, lava and magic. Unfortunately they are the only source of Aveo spawn eggs. They generally avoid villagers and will despawn during the day if in a village.

Once you have that spawn egg, place it down, and in a puff of smoke (without the smoke) you'll have an Aveo Dragon. You need to tame it though, and you can tame it with cod, beef or cakes (you didn't know dragons like cakes...??). If you approach an untamed one too closely, it will chase you and try to eat you. Good luck with taming it!

Type 1 - Winged with four legs

Generally this dragon is the larger and tougher of the two winged varieties but a little slower. Ascends quickly but not as fast as the wyvern.

They come in four sizes (the bigger they are the slower but tougher they are) and a number of different colors.

Type 2 - Drake (no wings)

No flying for this beauty, but very high jumping and gliding which is almost as good. Not to mention speedy ground performance (especially in the cold and forest biomes). Also unique to this dragon - they start as babies. Yep, you can tame it as a baby but forget about riding it until it's fully grown. Luckily, for the impatient, you can speed its growth with tropical fish.

Type 3 - Winged with two legs

The original. Is it the best? You decide.

AD

You can heal them with tropical fish, cod, salmon, beef or chicken.

There are six variants, just different colors, no behavioral differences. They also come in four sizes, the bigger being slower but tougher.

Armor

All three dragons take the same netherite armor as the other mno dragons. Craft them with a 2x2 pattern of netherite ingots. Place them on your dragon by holding the armor and right-clicking (or long-pressing if you're running mobile) on the dragon.?

Saddle

This video explains things exactly. If you're in a hurry though:

Just hold a regular horse saddle and right-click (or long-press if you're running mobile) on the dragon.

To remove either just hold a blaze rod(??) and right-click/long-press on the dragon.

Note you can't saddle the Drake until it's fully grown.
