Mineraft Bedrock: 1.12 has entered Certification Testing and No New Beta Build This Week

A few months ago, it was confirmed that the Minecraft team was aiming for 1 update every month. From what we have seen they have tried and did their best to get this goal completed. Some months it happened and some months it didn't. It looks like July 2019 will get an update as long as that big bad boss battle (aka cert testing) is on out side.

Yesterday on a stream, Gartzke and Jess (both official community managers on Minecraft) confirmed that 1.12 is in certification testing. This means it was either sent on Monday or Tuesday. But this gives the team the entire month of July to get approval from all of the stores and if ti passes then they can push it out. If it fails, they have to fix the bugs with that store and resubmit it. I wouldn't hold your breath for a certain date yet but it looks quite likely.

1.12 is mainly a bug fix update. From updates 1.8 to 1.11, they have been content updates containing features like scaffolding, pandas, over 2 dozens of new stairs, slabs and walls, the much requested shields and the famous Vilage and Pillage Update. While this mght be a bummer for some people, 1.12 should bring the game back to its less buggy state. 1.12 also contains new features for map makers so they can spice their maps and make them look insane.

As well as confirming this news, it was also confirmed that there would not be a new beta test this week as it is a holiday on Thursday in the United States and some people will also be out on Friday.

What do you think about 1.12 being in certification testing? Do you think it will pass?
