Minecraft Education Edition: Chemistry Update Features Explained.

Minecraft: Education Edition is expanding day by day to be used in multiple schools to help students to learn about real life problems and help them to learn through Minecraft. Recently, a chemistry update was introduced but there wasnt an official changelog added or the new features in detail. Well, that is until today.

Tables.

This is an element constructor. It can be used to create elements while choosing the correct numbers of protons, neutrons and electrons.

This is a compound constructor. It can be used to create over thirty compunds by combinging elements.

This is a lab table. It can be used to design your own experiments by combinging substances and seeing the results.

This is a material reducer. You can learn about the natural world by reducing Minecraft blocks to their component elements.

User Interfaces

Here is the User Interface for the element construtor. You can right click on the constructor just like a furnace. However, you can then either add or remove the amount of protons, neutrons and electrons in your element.

Here is the compound constructor. You can also right click on it. You can create compounds by putting the right amount and type of elements in the 3x3 grid. Once you have the correct number and type of each element, a compounds will be created! You can create over 30 compounds!

Here is the Material reducer user interface. You can access it by right clicking on it and putting any Minecraft block into it to get the elements and compounds for it. Note: some blocks like soul sand and netherrack may have a ? next to some.

Here is the Lab Table User Interface. You can access it by right clicking on it and adding the correct number of elements and compounds. Once you are done, click the combine button. IF a viable combination is created, the top will animate a solid, liquid or gas. The location of the elements or compounds does not affect the result.

Here is all the compound chlorides.

Here is bleach. The recipe is 3 Water, and 3 sodium hydrochloride.It can be used for turning coloured items such as beds and banners back to white.

Here is a heat block. It is created with iron, charcoal, water and salt. It can be used to melt snow and ice.

Here is an ice bomb. It is created with 3 Sodium Acetate. It can convert water blocks to ice blocks.

Here is a super fertilizer.
