This weeks bedrock beta is the complete opposite from last week, today in we focus on bug fixes and stability. Just like Minecraft Java it looks like bedrock Nether Update features are coming to and end in terms of new features. PLEASE READ before participating in the Minecraft Beta:

  • Joining the beta will replace your game with a work in progress version of Minecraft
  • You will not have access to Realms and will not be able to join non-beta players while you’re previewing the beta
  • Any worlds played while in the beta cannot be opened in previous versions of the game so please make copies of worlds to prevent losing them
  • Beta builds can be unstable and are not representative of final version quality
  • The beta is available only on Xbox One, Windows 10, and Android (Google Play). To join or leave the beta, see aka.ms/JoinMCBeta for detailed instructions

NOTE: This beta is a work in progress version of the full Nether Update. Some features seen in Java Edition snapshots may not yet be present.


Crashes and Stability

  • Fixed a crash that could occur when checking for Marketplace content updates 
  • Android users will no longer crash when opening the Marketplace (MCPE-68973)


  • Potions in cauldrons can now be correctly removed
  • Fishing rod can now be used repeatedly when holding the interact button (MCPE-63090

User Interface

  • Double tapping items on touch screen devices now groups those items together correctly again (MCPE-66458)
  • Using the ‘craft all’ function with a controller once again works correctly (MCPE-65747
  • Searching in the inventory will now update the results correctly (MCPE-69039

Scripting and Add-ons Fixes and Changes

  • pre_effect_script no longer runs when an entity is despawning with minecraft:despawn
