player vs player

"PvP" redirects here. For other uses, see PVP.

The term player versus player (PvP, also used PvP for its acronym in English) is used in role-playing video games to designate a modality in which two or more players face each other.

There is also the term player versus environment or PvE (also used PvE English player versus environment). In this modality the only interaction that exists between the players is collaboration and all the confrontations take place against the NPCs. According to studies carried out by the American video game company Blizzard Entertainment (world leader in role-playing video games, such as World of Warcraft) of a survey of almost 10 million players around the planet, almost 73% said that they preferred PvP versus the remaining 27% opting for PvE.

Player versus player can be used to describe any game or part of a game where players compete against each other. This can include entire game genres, such as first-person shooters or real-time strategy, or be limited to a certain part of a primarily PvE game. In many video games, mainly role-playing video games, the term PK (death at the hands of a player) is also used, especially in cases where the combat is not consensual. These terms have been adopted in discussions of traditional role-playing games with an approximate meaning.

It is a modality where the combination of PvP competitiveness and fun is so well distributed that it is a PvP modality and, at the same time, casual to laugh with your friends in frantic games and no more than 10 minutes of duration.

Skywars is a fairly popular Minecraft minigame whose objective is to fight until only one player is left alive. What makes it special is that each person starts on a small floating island. You decide if you are going to create bridges to attack others or walls to defend yourself.
