Minecraft Update Aquatic News

Update Aquatic has been going thtough some good phases with snapshots on the Java Edition of the game. From Coral blocks to fish and from phantoms to Ocean ruins. These have all been good. But a few people have been wondering if these features will be coming to the Bedrock Version soon. Some are saying its coming this week and some next week. However, it looks like neither of them are correct.

Phantoms are being coded into Bedrock right now, right?

Well... Not exactly.From the image above, ThorsHand11 (who is an official member of the Minecraft team) confirmed today on discord that they developers of Bedrock have STOPPED porting the phantoms over due to them wanting the Java team to finalise the phantom incase they make some drastic changed in the Java Editiion then the team have to re-do it.

Will more types of fish be added to the game?

We are getting at least 2 new types of fish: the clownfish and the tropical! It has not been confirmed (as you can see from the image above) that the slownfish and the tropical fish is going to be seperate.

Could barrier blocks be added to Bedrock?

It is 100% a possability for the future! However it is not on ThorsHand11s to do list as of yet.Even though it is not on his to do list, it could be on someone elses.

Will the Phantoms being delayed, delay the entire beta for the Update Aquatic? And how many developers are actually working on the Upsate Aquatic for Bedrock?

No. The beta is still on track.
There are 7 developers making the update aquatic. Yes that is right: 7!
